Aims

DSCF82931. To have small wildlife sanctuaries which are close enough to enable invertebrates, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and small animals to use them as Stepping Stones between areas of protected natural habitat so as to preserve genetic diversity.

This will be managed by our trustees to conduct surveys with volunteers on populations and biodiversity to ensure this aim is being met proactively.

2.To encourage the use of these wildlife sanctuaries to promote the interest in Natural History, observation, and recording by visiting groups or individuals.

By documenting success and failures, we hope to publish our achievements as a charity in order for others to follow in our foot stepping stones!

3. To educate on current dangers, threats, and success stories that are valuable for the public to know. Promoting knowledge where possible and improving one’s relationship with wildlife.

Offering talks to schools or businesses, posting on our social media pages, and also having events are a few key ways we can help deliver this aim.  We can also encourage engagement by allowing volunteers to help at our work parties.

4. Actively review the charity’s progression in order to monitor the achievement of aims.

The committee currently meets quarterly to discuss the charity’s status and distribute actions pertinent to our aims to be completed ready for the next meeting.
